The fucked up thing is, it only took our kids generation and now we’re right back at it. Brother, these mother fuckers joke about this shit and then shoot each other from rooftops for not being fascist enough. It truly boggles my mind what has become of this country. I mean, we’ve always been pretty shit, but at least we stood against tyranny in our own country. At least, that’s the way I remember things. Speaking of remembering, I really need to read that book again. You’re right, it’s outstanding. I said this in a comment to someone else, but I actually wrote a paper on this song and the book in high school. And I’m old as fuck (at least I feel that way) , so that was a good while ago.
