Its no longer confusing how Nazis were able to easily take over Germany and the populace just let it happen. Rights and laws can simply be ignored on a whim. Without enforcement, they dont matter. They have never mattered, except when those in power feared consequences. Just like the Nazis, Republicans dont fear consequences. They dont believe there will be any. They are right.
