I think this goes further to prove they all know Trump isnt going anywhere (if hes still alive) in 4 years. A democrat would be able to take down all right wing news networks using this as a template.

They did but they also decided to, instead of continuing with the populist rhetoric that Harris had like eliminating price gouging, start doing a national tour with Liz Cheney and refusing to separate herself from a very unpopular president in Joe Biden. They screwed up. Should it have been enough for her to lose the election to a fascist? No, I dont believe it should have been. But apparently the American voters have the memory of goldfish when it came to Trump.

Maybe that is part of the problems. GOP plays chess while Dems play checkers. Then you have some of the horrible candidates theyve put forward like Walter Mondale, Hillary and John Kerry. Kamala wasnt a whole lot better. If democrats got behind someone with charisma who also had good policy theyd probably win a lot more. Instead they go by whose turn it is.

Reagan was a good liar. He was an actor, remember? Plus some of his policies, like immigration would be considered progressive nowadays. Then theres the fact that Americans have always been stupid and vote based on vibes. Its always been that way.

If democrats hadnt moved further & further to the right since FDR a fascist like Trump never wouldve become president in 2016, let alone 2024. Thats what were talking about when (at least the sane ones) blame democrats. I also blame Chuck Schumer and every democrat that voted for Trumps picks and his budget.

You’re of course entitled to your opinion, but I think you’ve got it backwards. The way to prevent the far-right from staying in power is by building a party that actually energizes people with policies that materially improve their lives. Mamdani just handed Democrats a winning playbook on a silver platter. He defeated a corrupt establishment candidate by running on tangible, people-centered issues (exactly what the party claims it needs to do to “connect with voters”). Yet instead of embracing this proven strategy, party leaders are running away from him as fast as possible. This is the same dynamic that gave us Biden in 2020. The establishment coordinated to stop Sanders’ clear momentum and gave us a candidate who promised donors that “nothing will fundamentally change.” That’s not a sustainable strategy; it’s just kicking the can down the road while the conditions that create far-right movements continue to fester. The far-right stays in power when the alternative offers nothing but managed decline with better messaging. The only real threat to fascism is a movement that shows people their lives can actually get better. So far, Democrats are choosing to sabotage that possibility rather than embrace it.
