What is wrong with conservatives? Why are they unable to care until they are affected? Studies regularly indicate that conservatives are below average in intelligence, but their stupidity alone isn’t enough to account for their behavior. There is something else, or many other things, wrong with them. I’ve known very stupid but still caring and kind people. Republicans are evil.

How much of this can be overcome with education? Is there an age when one will just never improve? Germany did a good job de-nazifying after the war. That would be a data point in favor of the ability of people to recover from and acknowledge what they had done.
