Likely gonna get downvoted due to how much praise ur getting but why tf does a person who lives alone need a dishwasher? Its only dishes u dirty, why cant u keep up? My cheat code to always having a clean kitchen is to do the days prior every day after coffee before I make oatmeal. Its so simple, fast and easy that a machine would be an absolute waste of money and counter space.

Im over 50 and the seasonal, monthly, weekly and daily duties of caretaking my lil homestead is an absolute joy and honor. I love the role I get to play here.gardens and landscaping, orchards and chickens. Always something to do. Chopping wood is my happy place, small repairs and upkeep and upgrades are fun for me. Always learning and beautifying,

Depending on the time of the year the vast majority of ,y fresh foods stay in my gardens until its time to eat them and/or harvest and store. I tend to eat whats in season so Im always fresh. Anything I cant eat or store beyond being fresh becomes chicken snacks.

Use for grease, use them to clean the glass on my wood burner, maybe to blow my nose or pick something up off the floor, then goes in the compost or burned in wood stove.

Thats how you know youre a prepper. I shop for shelf-life and grow gardens, raise chickens for the daily fresh. What I eat changes with the seasons.

I bought my home over 4 years ago and still have a few unpacked boxes, lol. No rush or hurry, moving at my own pace. As far as settled, within a week.

I added an edit for you simps alcoholics tryna call me an alcoholic so u feel better. Edit: To be clear for all those calling me an alcoholic, I wasnt. Not like most of you and the vast majority of folks. I was an almost daily drinker of 3-4 beers, thats it. I rarely got drunk or did stupid shit. I stopped drinking to help me process and get over heartbreak that I wanted to put behind me for good. At the same time I was approaching 50 and wanted to make certain I continued to age gracefully and live a long healthy and active life. Id already logged months on my sobriety and just figured to stick with it.

Been 7 years for me. Its never too early to quit a socially acceptable drug which is one of the most dangerous substances to partake in. That shit will age you fast. To each their own but theres no reason to seek approval and camaraderie in alcohol. Edit: To be clear for all those calling me an alcoholic, I wasnt.
