Hes a boxer, but youre right on those observations. Rarely does he have his feet pointed at the target, so his force isnt projected as well as it could be.

Like others point out MMA already is the future martial art. When I was a semi-pro kickboxer competing internationally there was no MMA, this was late 90s. It was full contact kickboxing, lethwei & muy thai. MMA hit mainstream soon after and everything got dumped into that.

If its the same organization, yes. If it’s a different style altogether, no. I’ve studied a number of systems and I’m always happy to put on a white belt, empty my cup (as they say) and move through the ranks quickly. The biggest challenge is remaining humble and not allowing muscle memory of past styles to get in the way of learning new neuro-muscluar pathways.
