Yep. Aches work by distrubuting the downward force of gravity into lateral force pushing sideways. Without the keystone, there’s nothing to lock things together. When the keystone is pressed down, it hits the sides of the adjacent stones and can’t be pushed down anymore.

True. But this is what I mean; I tend to pay my help VERY well, becuase I know how much they are saving for me inherently just by helping. I didn’t have to hire a company or temporary workers. I’m still taking advantage of them, because even though I’m paying them more than they make at thier day job (gotta make it worth it for them to sacrifice thier only days off) I’m still saving money. Edit: I’m not saying I’m better than you, I’m just saying I’m aware that I’m taking advantage of them, but I try to mitigate that. Because I would hope they would do the same for me. They (your friend) probably make more than $200 a day at work, and for thier company to pay them $200 it will cost the employer closer to $300-350 a day.

This guy knew what you were saying. Almost 80% of people that aren’t a mason, but still in the trades, will call it grout. The issue is that masons like to take normal words and apply them to other things. In masonry, grouting a wall is filling the holes (cells) in block work.
