My wife insisted she liked the movie after we left the theater. I asked her to sing or even hum just one song from a movie we just watched 20 min ago. She couldnt.

Not one catchy song. Not one. A villain that you never actually meet or get introduced to at any point during the main runtime. Its hard to state how disappointing this movie is, being a sequel to one of the best Disney films imo. The only positive thing I can say is that they kind of went hard on some of the creature designs. Like maybe a little too creepy for a kids movie. Not that they capitalize on that in any meaningful way.

Yeah Im missing it too. I think its more about like, gravity? You know if your car stalls youre just stuck on the road. If your plane stalls mid-flightyou got major problems. And eventually, a component is going to fail at an inconvenient time, and if there isnt a redundancy or the redundancy also fails, you can pretty much kiss your ass goodbye. I will say, without knowing too much about rich people aviation hobby, I dont understand why more arent prepared/able to eject out with a parachute when something goes wrong.

Intrigued. They show an island, I would think after the ending of the sequel that most of the world is now infected. It would make sense that the only refuge may be small land masses like an island that could be defended from infection. Set photos appeared to show a guy in UN/NATO(?) soldier outfit? So not clear on how much of the world is infected at this point in the story, but I fail to see how after the spread to Paris and 28 years later any major nation has managed to keep the virus at bay.

Yeah this trailer just shows way too much. Basically gives away the plot of the entire trilogy.

28 weeks later is a very solid zombie flick. I think its fair to say its not as good as 28 days later, but its still as good or better than any other decent zombie movie that comes to mind.

I feel you. I watched this movie for the first time last week. Ive seen a lot of war movies, ww2 movies, but never made it to this one for whatever reason. But watching it in the current political climate, it hits hard. Not enough people really grasp the danger of authoritarianism or fascism today. How easily a regime could callously commit atrocities against a scapegoated population. And how few were able and willing to stand up to it. Also the tragic denial of the Jews who were displaced or sent to camps, unable to acknowledge just how much worse their plight could, and would get. Not knowing much about it other than it was about a German who saved many Jews from the camps, I was struck at how even Schindler wasnt a very good person, at least in the beginning. A shrude businessman who initially takes advantage of Jews for essentially slave labor. But over the course of the holocaust he changes into a savior. I dont think a lot of people understand that the initial plan for the Jews in Nazi Germany was to deport them out of the country.

Over 500 nukes have been detonated above ground since the invention of nukes. Just saying. Radioactive fallout would be a risk, but surely a preferred risk over rage infection.

Longlegs wasnt good at all. I was also hyped based on the marketing. Plus I really like Nic Cage and Maika Monroe. But it wasnt scary, thrilling, or interesting, and some segments just unintentionally made me laugh out loud. A shame because the marketing really made it seem like this would be a scary thriller of a movie, but its a total dud in my book.
