This is my take as well, spoon-feeding it and drawing it out is annoying and IMO pushes people away rather than keeping them compelled. Itll never be a seven season show so they may as well have envisioned getting all the story into 3-4 seasons instead of doling it out like they are. Its frustrating and really bad strategy thats not respectful of their current and future fan base. Really bad executive decisions.

That’s good to hear, I really do want it to succeed and turn into something worthy and compelling. I’m rooting it on, certainly not hate-watching it, it just keeps letting me down.

I’m with OP, it’s just dumb. That Sec Unit should have massacred all of them plus fucked up MB in the first milliseconds. There’s no real plot armor, it’s made for tv bullshit. For me while watchable, it’s not compelling or inspiring at all, it’s silly, too short and has no consistency. Go ahead and hate me and dump me with downvotes, I love the books but the show really mostly sucks. Likely will get cancelled, major fucking let down.

I find it strange how petty and defensive the majority of these human construct fanbbots are. It’s ridiculous and unnecessary and those of us being critical are just being downvoted while fanbots pile on. Silly. I agree with you and the other honest person sharing their personal critiques. The show is lacking in so many ways, the producers dropped the ball, the writing and acting is mostly mediocre and the episode lengths are fucking criminal, making us wait 10 damn weeks for 2-3 hours of content. Annoying, unacceptable and frustrating.

I agree about it likely being more appealing for those of who read the books than for muggles off the street. I dont know what the general consensus is, people who populate this subs seem to be about 50/50 which likely implies a less than enthusiastic overall response. Unsure if theyll renew it although I wouldnt be surprised if they do, Apple seems solid about their sci-fi products.

I agree with you with the exception of intending to be confrontational. I honestly wrote that in preparation for negative responses while seeking people not just blindly hate on the post because it’s critical. Honestly I think it worked and I am impressed with the level headed civil discourse as opposed to completely disdain and disregard. Maybe I was being presumptive and maybe pointing it out kept folks from dogpiling the post. This community really is cool and until this pots felt kind of alone in my opinion and clumped the whole community into lemming behaviour, I was wrong and didn’t know that until today. Also, yes you’re correct on the 50/50’sh split which is clear on the insights for post as far as down and upvotes.

I appreciate that reply, thank you. Honestly the discourse on this thread has been more accepting than I anticipated and I’m grateful for level headed replies. And honestly at 22 minutes an episode it’s easy to have a watch whether I’m enjoying it or only being critical, it could catch me off guard and become something fun and worthy.
