Republicans spent more on anti-trans ads than anything else in the 2024 election. Victimizing a minority of the population that poses absolutely no threat to anyone is the most important issue to them.

You tried. Faceplanted, hard as fuck – but you tried. And that’s the important thing (why we laugh at you). Calling ICE the Gestapo is giving them too much credit – the Gestapo was at least mostly competent (in terms of conservative standards, anyway) and not a bunch of cowards hiding their faces. Looks like the SS have a leg up on you guys in that regard. Is it pride vs shame thing? I’d hazard the SS actually believed their own bullshit, while ICE is simply bought and paid for – hiring the worst of the losers in American society – the police are so happy to get to pick and choose now lol. And still, the SS weren’t weak enough to hide their identity. EDIT: Oh, and “state’s rights” are always code for “bullshit I couldn’t possibly get away with in an educated society, so I’m gonna sucker some bigots”. Every. Single. Time. Sorry.

It’s kinda amazing how many times western civilization has been saved by the sheer incompetence of fascists.

I love how you guys are trying so hard to not admit that he was just another typical, average, boring conservative. It’s so funny. Everyone knew he was the moment trumpy declared he was a leftist, that’s how constantly lying works.

I remember doing a double take at that. I was never a Musk fanboy but at that point in time, like most people, I was indifferent to him. Seemed like a normal, ambitious rich person who might do some good in the world. Then he, super weirdly and uncharacteristically, trashed the rescuers because they stole his thunder. Went so far as to call them pedos? All of a sudden, I realized this was not a well-adjusted individual. It has been all downhill from there, and I now regard him as one of the absolute worst pieces of trash to walk the earth, and I deeply resent the amount of influence he wields. The idea that he will be a top level admin of the Trump administration is a nightmare.

And yet many women (and minorities) voted for this govt. Mind boggling. These next 4 years are going to see a huge roll back of hiring those groups in favor of again disproportionately giving white men the best and most lucrative jobs. Theyll also come after birth control, no-fault divorce, and a myriad of other ways to subjugate women and keep them dependent on men and powerless against the abusers.

Abortions are not a fun time. Thats the thing, neither side wants more abortions. It would be great to cut down unwanted pregnancies altogether by providing comprehensive sex ed, easy access to birth control, and empowering women to be free and independent. But the right doesnt want any of those things to cut down unwanted pregnancies. Most pro-choice people, at least that I know, still acknowledge that abortion is a last resort.

Trump had total motive to cheat, and ZERO motive to not cheat. In fact, negative motive to not cheat. He was facing punishment for serious crimes and had absolutely nothing to lose. Already convicted of felony crimes, what possible reason would he have to not cheat? Given that hes a known cheater, a known fraudster, and a known felon, and that the only surefire way he was going to keep himself out of prison was to win the election by any means necessary, its actually gross ignorance to apply traditional norms and assume he didnt cheat to win. No other candidate in the history of the US had the same criminal baggage and motive to avoid dying in prison like Trump did. The truth is anyone in his position would have also done so. Its the only position that makes sense for someone in that situation. My frustration isnt so much that he pretty certainly cheated, but that Biden, democrats, and law enforcement werent able to identify and stop it. They knew just as plainly as Im spelling it out now that Trump would have tried anything to illegally tip the scales in his favor. I can only assume they were too afraid to be looked at as hypocrites for crying election fraud, proving that Trump successfully poisoned the well with his own nonsense and now here we are.

The guy is a known criminal and cheat, and he was facing the very real possibility of dying in prison if he lost the election. Of course he absolutely was going to cheat, and its something Biden, democrats, and our institutions should have been working over time to detect and thwart. The fact that they didnt catch it only tells me he got away with it, because a man like him in the position he was in was going to do every thing he possibly could to not leave it to chance, regardless of the legality. Better the break the law, cheat, win and insulate yourself with the absolute power of the executive branch than risk going to jail for your crimes.
