I can. Just from the descriptions of impression it has to be out of this world. Being joined to another being that has nothing but love for you and knowing youll never be truly alone again has to be beyond words in terms of pure joy.

Thats pretty cool. For some reason I always pictured Mirrim older when she impressed but this is probably accurate.

Good point. Maybe he made a special point of telling Robinton that he was against a woman becoming a Master? Thats my only guess. New Masters were a big deal and news probably spread that she was being promoted.

I guess I pulled most of my knowledge from the interval before the ninth pass when not only was the one remaining weyr out of favor but harpers as well. It seemed like in the MasterHarper there werent enough harpers to go around.

Harpers taught people how to read, but unfortunately it was considered an unimportant skill when most people worked everyday and had little need to read anything. So maybe they got the basics when they were young if the hold was lucky enough to be on a Harpers route. The larger the hold, the more likely it was they had a Harper. Weyrs usually had one, sometimes a dragon rider with Harper training (weyr singer) or they had one that made the trip regularly from the major hold they bound to.

That was their theory because they didnt know about the way the dragons were created by Kitti Ping. She only wanted the gold dragons to lay and made the greens sterile.

I always thought Jeri Ryan was too tall to play Lessa. Sometimes in my head Id try her out as Kylara since there werent too many strong women on Pern but I could never picture her as vain and annoying as Kylara.

The cast was created in my head a long time ago so some wouldn’t make sense anymore, but this is what I had. Jonathan Frakes as Robinton (He’s always been perfect for the role imo) Marina Sirtis as Lessa Christopher Lambert as F’lar James Earl Jones as the voice of Mnementh Adrian Paul as F’nor Alexandra Vandernoot at Brekke Pam Anderson as Kylara Michael Dorn as Mastersmith Fanderal (Still think he’d be a great choice) Mario Van Peebles as Fax Majel Barrett-Roddenberry as Gemma Robert Duncan MacNeill is Lord Larad Garett Wang as Lord Asgenar Jaxom changed a lot, I probably had a hard time settling on an actor because I wanted to BE him lol Sarah Michelle Gellar as Kasia Katie Holmes as Menolly Alexander Siddig as Sebell I could never settle on an actor for Piemur Some of these was just wish casting and would make zero sense in reality but when I read I prefer to see and hear in my mind what the characters would be like.

I remember they captured one and it died, but I was more referring to the ones that had unfettered access to biological matter before colonization.
