Also, the Aviary lawn is a huge, open, flat, treed park. Perfect for picnic time and letting kiddos wander free to explore and chase the many squirrels, while you can safely see them plainly for 100 yards. Lil playground too.

When I bartended, I had a couple from NYC that would come in for quick weekend trips every so often. They said they were planning a full two week summer vaca here at some point, really get lost and explore the whole area. ‍️
