I have nothing for you. How very sad to think about going through life measuring only what you don’t like and seeking suggestions based on that.

lol, why tf would you think I take anything so negative and unhelpful as personal? I could give a frog’s fat ass about how you manage your life, communications or reading recommendations. To me it seems a ridiculous and sad way to seek suggestions based on what you don’t like as opposed to what you do like. It speaks volumes about your perspectives and personal character and in my experience it’s a sad approach to anything in life, especially interests, sci-fi and reading.

Avid reader, big fan of Reynold’s and I could not push past 100 pages of the book. I tried getting into it probably 15 times before DNF and just couldn’t get into it. I’ve read here on Reddit that the 2nd half picks up quite a bit but I couldn’t waste any more reading attempts to get there. So yeah my TBR pile with books ready to read became more enticing than Pushing through..

I’d say yes don’t give up on his whole catalog, he’s prolific af. From what I’m hearing, the first person perspective through you off, that’s not too common with AT. For sure check out Children of Time and Dogs of War, they’re both series, really well written and chockfull of original concepts.

Awesome, thank you for sharing that. Going on my TBR list for sure .

I haven’t read Dark Eden so I have no clue about that but I can say that for him it’s very original, well written and one of my favorites of his.

So far have only read DA as part of JSAC and been curious about his other works, I’ll check them out at some point.

LOL, okay you got me. Not sure I know any of those acronyms. Care to translate them for us?

I’ll fix that, I realized some folks may not know him yet. Seriously fun, original and quite prolific author. JSAC (James SA Corey; two authors) and AT are my favorite authors still kicking out books.
