I believe so. Speaking from self experience, my mom hears voices and acts on what they tell her. Shes also very paranoid. To make a long story short, Ive spent almost a decade in a very unstable environment while trying to go to school and find that its becoming harder and harder to not be unhinged and depressed. Ill have spurts of energy every once in a while but even now that Im done with school its hard to find the motivation being around her. Sometimes shell leave for a week or two to drive around the country randomly (living in her car bc the government is looking for her) and during those times I start to feel normal.
