I went back to school when I was your age. Many other people still do. All of the reasons you may have for doing so don’t matter when you are studying and working in a field you like. Find a university or a professional organization who will administer a professional version of the Strong Campbell Interest Inventory test. This is a very effective test for helping you to find fields you might enjoy.

Unhappy with how life has turned out … I’m 27 Step 1: pull your head out of your ass. At 27 your life hasn’t “turned out”. Unless you goals were to be a champion athlete, chances are there still hope for your original goals. If not, meaning is where you make it.

You don’t go to funerals for the dead. They will not notice you being there or not. You go for the people who will be there. Either to comfort them or to avoid your absence being seen as a lack of respect for the deceased. You wrote that his survivors will not need comfort and it is implied that they would also understand the absence of respect.

I can see that. Bluesky is basically Twitter with Musk tumor removed. The nice times I have had there have been reconnecting with people who left Twitter or Facebook who I already know.

The “Explore” link often provides an interesting mix of posts that have been favorited and boosted the most. If you don’t like the microblogging format and would prefer to see the content in a discussion forum format like Reddit you can use Lemmy.World. If you can over-the-top strict moderation tildes.net tends to have longer, more thought out posts.

it is annoying when someone goes into a sub that celebrates a particular show only to say the whole thing was terrible Of course! I was referring to like a show and having a good time shooting the shit about consistences with fellow fans. Many reddit fans don’t get that and they turn hostile on a dime.
