I read an article a while back about a toaster lasting from the early 1950s. They really did make them better – higher quality materials, so much so, it would price such a toaster out of the market in contemporary times. Take care your blender!

Told her it was stolen. Reminds me of that documentary “The Brainwashing Of Dad”. Older pleasant guy got hooked on Fox “News” and similar things. When the cable feed for the TV broke the wife told him it wouldn’t work anymore.

/u/nolifecrisis Is it possible that your friend is clinically depressed? What is his field? Is it in demand? Is he an alcoholic or addicted to cannabis? Does he have access to therapy? How does he pay his bills? What happened to him that caused him to be unemployed for 12 years?
