I like my career. My current job isn’t the most interesting one I have had, but it is pleasant and makes the day go by fast. If it wasn’t for those two things I would feel like I was in jail. I’ve had jobs I liked that didn’t pay that well, so I get where you are coming from. It sucks. You will have to think about which will make you more unhappy: not enough money or not enough meaning, fun. Does your current situation provide an opportunity for a decent retirement for you? You can always procrastinate dealing with this by getting the PMP Certification as it will help either choice. 🙂

We have tried to make plans with them the following weekend before that involves buying tickets to something and we dont hear back from them so my wife and I will just buy tickets for us and then they text us the day of the event asking if we still want to go and all the seats are gone. “We’re very sorry to hear that. When we didn’t hear back from you we went ahead and only bought tickets for ourselves because we thought you weren’t interested in going”. If they will not learn from that, don’t invite them anymore, let them invite you.
