I would first be clear with myself if I wanted to make a genuine apology or if such a note was a means of getting into contact with the ex. If it is about a genuine apology I would leave out what you wrote in the OP. I would open with “I don’t want anything from you”, then I would follow with “I would like to apologize for. It was wrong of me to do have done those things. I am sorry. Be well”. Most importantly, I wouldn’t expect anything back.

You were privileged to have two chances, and you should acknowledge that. I don’t agree. To be fair when I read the word “privileged” I parse that as a term of resentment which does not make me open minded. I got my second degree by living in a closet of a room, working two part time jobs, studying, and taking out loans which I paid back. Please don’t tell me I am “privileged”. I’m not quite sure what your point is. My point was that it still seems strange to me how many adults and adults after their educations, still take money from their parents. Like I wrote I know the economic landscape has changed, but it seems strange to me. It also seems strange to me how many adults don’t have a problem with it.

Why? A lot of Americans are angry at the MAGAs. It seems natural people would want to make posts about them.

When I turned 18 I stopped taking money from my parents, aside from a college fund my father busted his ass to build for me. I had problems with my education and eventually ended up paying for my “reeducation” in a lucrative field with loans. I’m not a special person. The opportunities were there for someone like me to do that ( I am NOT a boomer so you can STFU about that right now ). I still freaks me out to read about adults accepting money from their parents, though I realize the economic landscape has changed.

Yes. Bill Gates, Musk, Bezeos had the luck to be born into families that had the finances to get them started.

A democracy shouldn’t have billionaires to begin with.
