Not finding joy in anything is one sign of depression. Over the past 6 months or so Ive found myself drinking by myself in my room pretty consistently That is a red flag too. You asked for suggestions, mine would be to seek out therapy.

I think Gen Z is alright, millennial too. You can’t judge generations by who posts on Reddit. I think the generations are basically the same, unless they experience a big event like a war or a depression. Even then you see people who look similar, think similar, and behave similar to people in past generations.
