Get a BraDec and be done with it. I carry mine 4-5 and its super comfy, well concealed and super affordable made in the US.

I did the 2.0 upgrade to the Plus optics ready, night sites, 4 mags and carry bag package for $425 I sold my 2.0 with 6 mags on consignment for $200 so ended up only spending $225 for the Plus (not including $35 to register) One of the best parts is being able to use same holsters. Nice score OP, good hunting!

If it’s factory new, absolutely. If it’s a used firearm, still likely I’ll clean it before firing. Both for much the same reason, to familiarize and inspect my new tool.
