Scan the ship first. If the owner comes up as “Gamerule” it’s legitimate salvage and no crimes tat for doing whatever you want with it.

Best part about this game is you can have that honeymoon period over and over. I give it a few years to cook then check back after I play a few other games for a while. Been around since 2016. I’ve skipped entire version releases in that time. When I started, the game was only a hangar you could call a ship up in (which is why, even today, it tells you what hangar comes with a ship when you buy them with irl money.) I don’t remember if Arena Commander was out when I first started, but that was when I first was able to actually play the “game”. Then there was one space station. Then you could call a ship to a landing pad there (not a hangar, a pad you had to go and find). Then you could go land on a planet (this might have been my best honeymoon phase) Then you could pick up a single small box and take it to a drop off location (they are still there, it’s the big red vending machines by some planet side pads and in commodity locations on stations. It’s actually starting to turn I to a game now. A very broken game, but it’s not just a single room and you can’t do anything. Give it a year and try again. Rinse and repeat untill they get thier shit together. It’s gonna be a long and painfully bumpy road, unfortunately….

Cool down doesn’t need to be percevable, I would imagine. Just spit balling, but I think that could work (not that it would be implemented, just spitballing a hypothetical) Seems like the problem (to me, but I am an idiot, so there is that) is that the ladder drops you off in the same spot as the “pick you up” spot, which seems to be anywhere in a 2 meter radius (lol). If there was a like 250 millisecond cool down, since you are pressing a movement key going either up or down, naturally you could get away from the suck you in zone before being sucked in. But again, I am an idiot. (hitting a key would be better than any of it)

Yeah, at first I didn’t know if you were being obtuse. Now I don’t doubt it. What starter ship is the best at anything? I don’t like the titan, it’s boring to me after years. That doesn’t mean that it’s not the best pick for someone starting the game with a starter ship that will let them play the game and find out what they like. Oh wait…. I just answered you’re obviously trolling question with an actual answer; it’s the best at getting someone into the game without shoehoring them into a specific role.

Every account bound armor or weapon I have gets duped, repeatedly, as you said. If I loose or give someone one of them, I have two the next patch. If I loose those two, the next patch I have four. Now if only I could get a P8 rifle account bound. I loose one of those every few days.
