It would have been better to give him like a damage bonus for each lightsaber equipped or something.

As more cards are released, 60 card decks become more viable, because there are naturally going to be more cards that play well in your strategy. When the pool of good cards is limited at the initial release of the game, you want a smaller deck so that you arent diluting your good cards with mediocre or trash ones and your draws are more consistent. But eventually, you see that more and more cards get released that do similar things to cards you already utilize and so the dilution effect isnt as pronounced. Still, if your deck strategy hinges on pulling a specific card by a certain turn, and you can obviously only have 3 copies of that card in deck, the larger your deck is the more unlikely your strategy will work out.

Probably still plenty of time. The thing about these card games is that they can always go back to popular characters and do new cards with them. Case in point, getting a new Blue Vader in LOF even though we already have green and red vaders. Perhaps they will do a yellow one down the line? Certainly there will be one if not more Lukes coming down the pipeline etc. Point is, they can keep making new cards based on previously released characters that add to the game with new card effects and keywords etc. with this in mind and with how expansive the lore is, with the right creativity they can keep it going for some time. They can always ass pull different/new types of troopers, rebels, smugglers, vehicles, events, equipment, etc too to flesh out each release.

I feel like a giant idiot because when I first read this card I thought it said choose an opponent to discard a card from their hand. The idea that you can choose yourself, discard a 10+ card on turn 2 or 3 to nuke anything you want, is pretty crazy. This card really should be limited to opponents discarding only, and/or have a damage cap. And/or higher cost.
