Not sure Im understanding your analogy. Trump unilaterally wants to dictate how others trade. He wants countries and companies to come to him to make deals for exemptions.

If you had told me that in 2016 and the subsequent four years I would have agreed. Now, we not only re-elected the idiot along with his oligarch buddy Elon, we gave him complete control of the federal government. Im not sure he will be satisfied with finishing out his term and not sure we fully come back from the ramifications of what hes doing

This will increase inflation and IMO at least a recession which will affect them. Add the upcoming gutting of Medicaid benefits which will lead to closing of rural hospitals and clinics. The red states are in for a very rough time. I doubt they will blame Trump for it but thats where this is heading.
