At this point all hope is that scientists discover some kind of Hail Mary silver bullet. Something that can take the CO2 out of the atmosphere or otherwise cause mass cooling on a global scale. Global human cooperation and sacrifice for the greater good was never going to happen.

Some people thought that movie was over the top but I thought that if anything, it undersold how asinine our politics and society has become. We are just as doomed if we have to face an existential crisis under this leadership.

There is a lot of negativity around AI right now, most of which is warranted. And I really dont like the idea of these rich, monopolistic companies controlling the algorithms and what kind of AI content is going to be pushed on people. With that being said however, I think AI is going to allow for some really cool content in the near future. 5 years from now, if not sooner, it will be easy and cheap for someone at home with a computer to create a feature length movie with special effects that rival big budget movies. There will be a lot of debate if art created with AI can really be considered Art in the traditional sense, but the end result is that there will be quality content to consume, created by people who beforehand wouldnt have had the means to create it. It may well be buried in a sea of mindless slop though, if the powerful companies and CEOs keep control of the content flow.

Why? Hes already publicly accused Trump of being on the list. You should see all the posts, theres nothing redeeming about them aside from calling Trump out.

That is a very small problem. Im sure the SCOTUS will either ignore it or fix it for Trump, as is tradition.

I mean we all knew AI would lead to exactly this thing happening, but whats so egregious about it is that Trump literally came out and said directly hey when something bad happens I can just blame it on AI, Chuckles

Sad that even years from now you will still have right wing zombies parroting that the Charlie Kirk assassin was a lefty who wrote pro-trans messages on his bullets. Great fucking job WSJ. You hacks.

NASA doesn’t have spaceships anymore dude. Oh, and they weren’t “saved” … Starliner was an experimental ship (made by Boeing) the one that was supposed to get them. But EVERYONE involved knew it might have problems, which it did. That’s why the Dragon was there from the beginning.
