Some versions or interpretations of socialism can be antithetical to democracy, just as some versions of capitalism can be antithetical to and actively undermine democracy.

Consider it weak all you want, but it’s the only actual insurrection that’s taken place in the US in recent times. As you seem very concerned about violent insurrections, that makes it incredibly relevant to this discussion.

Marxism and Socialism are not inherently violent ideologies, no matter how often you repeat them. You also seem to be more upset about theoretical insurrections more than the real attempted one that happened a few years ago.
