Man, it seems like almost ALL of these old menus/places had oysters and clams! I love them and feel like theyre never around in such profusion. (Pittsburgher)

A ton of these old menus ALL feature tons of oysters, even ones inland from the coasts. I wonder, what was the table presentation? How were they served, ya know?? Nowadays its on a big chilled glass plate with crushed ice, on the halfshell, with lemon and sauces. How did a 15-Cent House serve me my oyster dinner, i wondermaybe a small wooden bucket filled w raw oysters and a large spoon lol

All I remember from KMart was that if I was a good boy while mommy shopped and didnt hide from her in the circular clothes racks, shed get me a cherry Icee. If I was super good, a GI Joe or Transformer would come home too. Edit: a thing
