My crew is very completionist, having come from a long dungeon crawl. So they went over the Carnival in that fashion; no butterfly wings left unturned, right? Took us 4 2.5-3 hr sessions. I expected this and was antzy to get them moving, but whatever. Once we were in Hither though, out in the openthey have been more into exploration (kinda new to this dungeon-crawl-crew) than inspection. Trudging through the swamp, arguing w the Ranger about their course, seeing the Jabberwock in the skytheyve started enjoying overland DnD, a first for them! Your crew may act the same once set free.

Your game (and their play) will speed up as you all get more comfortable with it. Theyll still explore and fight of course, but they (and you) will be wiser about how the whole game rolls. So, youll get more adventure packed into your sessions. Have a blast!

My PC Grappled Endelyn and suplexed her, shattering her boney construct machine. Almost died doing it. Epic.

I was thinking about making the inside of her cottage bigger than than the outside appearance would allow; like a magical townhouse effect (wow its big in here compared to outside!) to facilitate smoother combat

Im chuckling at the VAST difference in tone between the two adventures you find yourself in! Like the embodiment of the theater masks symbol; one joyous and one horrified lol

My players kinda liked Agdon, post-battle blubbering. Since they didnt kill him, i may use him as acomedic foil? Turncoat? Give him a huge redemption arc? D.) All of the above? Im picturing a Bennie type-guy from The Mummy movie The players gave me a tool; I intend to use it.
