I mean, it’s 1/4 according to this, but I guess you must be an American (like me) and math, as pointed out already, isn’t our strong suit. I say this in jest. No offense meant.

False. First official modern style police was in Boston in 1838. Slave patrols are from the 1700s. https://naacp.org/find-resources/history-explained/origins-modern-day-policing#:~:text=Theoriginsofmodernday,runawayslavestotheirowners. https://sites.uab.edu/humanrights/2021/12/08/the-history-of-policing-in-the-us-and-its-impact-on-americans-today/ https://nleomf.org/slave-patrols-an-early-form-of-american-policing/ This one talks about those nice guys in the north you reffered to (who came around after the slave patrols were already a thing) https://www.npr.org/2020/06/05/871083599/the-history-of-police-in-creating-social-order-in-the-u-s

Always has been. Look into why we have police in the first place and not just sheriffs and constables. (hit: they’re slave catchers.)

Then what is he representing? Himself? What’s the point of a representative if not to represent the will of thier constituents?

There is everything wrong with a representative of the people disagreeing with with people. What an asinine statement.

I know many of these types of people. None have killed anyone… Yet. I know a guy that lost his license from having multiple DUIs, and he got another one… Without the license. He was out of jail in a few weeks, and his first stop was the bar. And then his truck.
