Don’t do it. Unless you want damage and water intrusion down the road. Make like a tripod or something to hold up the end. Don’t tap it into the brick. There are probably safe ways to do it. But I wouldn’t let someone pay me to do this, and I wouldn’t do it to a house I paid for myself.
