From 2012-2022 I had a bugout plan to go to a friends semi-remote farm and help work & protect his land. I had quite a lot to bring to the table. That plan became my fallback plan B after I bought my own small scale homestead in 2022. Since then I’ve invited my friends who I trust and care about to join me in securing my property in case of shtf / teotwawki. I have enough to take care of a number of people and IMO having strong defensive capabilities outweighs trying to make what I have last for years. I only invite people that I really care about and know they will add value to my property and plans. I still have my fallback plan in place and anyone who’s with me can take part of plan A and B.
