When I was in college one building I had to go to had a lounge with a kitchenette. Grad students from a particular foreign country would noisily gather their saliva and spit into the kitchen sink.
I’m not being sarcastic, but maybe the writers aren’t that good. I’ve seen some terrible writing around a lot lately. A slower pace to the story means they don’t have to come up with new story/plot points. If Spencer gets home in 1-2 episodes and organizes a shoot out with Banner then they have to decide what to do with the rest of the season.
