I loved them at the time and still remember them fondly. I was in college until I was 23. That was a good time. I had my first child and got married when I was 20. I had 3 children by the time I was 26. I was always broke. I worked a full-time job, a part-time job, and was a full-time time student for 2 years. I didn’t have a full day off for 4 years. Joined the U.S. Navy Reserve. I was divorced at 28. I had custody and was a single father when I was 29. It was one hell of a decade. I was always working, always budgeting, watching every cent. I spent every free moment with my kids. I was tired and stressed and scared a lot of the time.
