I think it is certain that he is jealous of the bravery of trans community. He hates that they have found the strength to be their true selves while he has lived an easy life of privilege and moral bankruptcy. With all of his advantages, he has never found the strength to live as his authentic self. He hates them for his weakness. He is a traditional conservative.
