my kitchen is not air conditioned, the ac is only in my bedroom and the heat index is expected to be 108f on Monday I lived in a place like that. Luckily my place was rectangular, one doorway behind another. Buy a tall standup adjustable floor fan. Put it in the doorway of your bedroom so you can blow cooler air into the rest of your place. It sounds nuts, but it helps: close your windows, and close your drapes. That will help your place to heat up less.
