I was at work in Virginia about 6 miles from the Pentagon. It was in the morning. A coworker was telling people that D.C. was bombed ( back in those days only foreign enemies ). My coworkers and I were like “WTF?”. We stood in a crowd and chatted for a while. I told my boss traffic was likely to get horrible and asked him if I could go home. He was mellow and let me go. My housemates and I spent the rest of the afternoon watching the news coverage in the living room.
