I went to a very small, rural high school. Teen pregnancy wasn’t anything new. A disturbingly high number of the fathers were teachers. But if they got married, then nothing else happened. Kept their job. Parents were happy because their daughter was married to a college man with a steady paycheck. So they had one less person to take care of. And the students just didn’t understand why. But I don’t remember anyone bullying or being bullied. But we talked about it a lot. We’d listen to everything they were willing to tell us.
