Im kinda afraid to ask, but what does a whole tank mean? Like a little canister for whip cream or like a dentist chair adjacent tank?

Using too high of a gear for the speed you are traveling is not good and called lugging the engine. Every car is different, but you should be able to accelerate in the gear you are in at the speed you are going relatively easily. If youre car is barely responding to you pushing down the accelerator, you may be in too low of a gear
