Its called small talk. It is annoying, but it comes with the territory. Sometimes people do it out of nervousness. Sometimes they do it out of genuine interest. Calling someone an NPC is stupid, as that just means non playable character in a video game. Everyone who isnt you, is an NPC. Just like youre an NPC in my life. This trend needs to stop.
