Ive always viewed military parades as a projection of insecurity. Like the country doing it looks desperate to prove to the world how strong they are. Meanwhile America hasnt needed to do one in living memory because we dont have to prove anything. Americas strength isnt demonstrated by marching our troops and weapons down our streets. If anything, this just made us look weak and insecure.
