Most “family guy” men I’ve met in Texas constantly demean their wife, barely pay attention to their kids, check their work email all through church, and complain loudly when they can’t play golf on a Saturday. I’ve met some great guys in my time here, but the great ones are definite minority. Big-time “aggrieved male sitting in a 600K house” vibe in parts of inner loop. And I agree — that’s the REAL decline of the west.
