No? Why is this such a hard concept? People are just intentionally this obtuse? A fact is a demonstrably true statement. As the poster you are responding to laid out, the statement that a vaccine is safe and effective is as it relates to established safety and efficacy standards by which all vaccines are weighed against. Therefore, its a fact. You may take issue with the standards. And perhaps, a more accurate statement would be that a vaccine meets current safety and efficacy standards – but the original statement is accurate. Additionally, it is a fact that Trump was convicted of 34 felonies in court. It is an opinion that Melania hates Trump. It is a falsehood/lie to claim the Bowling Green massacre happened. I do believe that news outlets and politicians have a responsibility to get the facts right in their claims, and correct themselves when they publicly make false statements. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions; they are not entitled to their own facts.
