Not all alcohol is the same. Wine isn’t hard liquor. Europeans have had wine at meals in front of their children for centuries. European children have also had diluted wine at meals for centuries. Children shouldn’t have to see their parents drunk or otherwise influenced by alcohol. Same with Cannabis. Cannibis is most often smoked, and that is a big difference. You can’t keep the smell ( maybe some effects?) to yourself. People need to think about where they light up.
