So this happens because of the physicalization stuff. When you call your ship from the lobby it brings it up the elevator the same as if you are in your hangar. Except that when you walk into your hagar the trap door is always closed. You caught your ship in a sort of Schrodinger’s elevator type situation were the trap door is both open and closed at the same time, and only snaps into a real existence once you observe it.
