The folks suggesting it’s okay to read them after finishing the series are IMO incorrect. This is how I did it my first read through and it left me feeling unsatisfied, like I missed the boat with large chunks of the story told too late. I originally read the books before the last three came out, started watching the series and was reading as those were finishing so it was a multi-year journey. By the time I had Memory’s Legion and read it too much had happened, I forgot or misremembered quite a lot. The folks suggesting publication order may be correct but I’m not exactly certain the novellas were all written to when they fit in the timeline. There’s reddit posts with an order to be read, I just searched and found this chronological order list, which if I remember correctly can work great. On my second and third reads I followed a chronological order and it felt great and told the story holistically. In summary, choose a good chronological order and enjoy thoroughly. edit: changed the linked chronological order as another commentor posted to the one I prefer
