The Supreme Court has been (somewhat) clear on this. For presidents, specifically Republican presidents – the sole remedy to address crimes is impeachment, while they are in office. They cannot be prosecuted or removed other than by impeachment. And since 2/3 of the senate is required for conviction and removal via impeachment; it will never happen. Especially to Trump.
