This is a Pardosa sp., a Thin-legged Wolf Spider. Many spiders that live in cold climates have what are called AFPs in their hemolymph. AFPs are AntiFreeze Proteins and keep the spider from freezing completely solid. In my state of Alaska in the US, we have many species of spider, and insect, that are still amiable even at freezing temps. Some spiders can even survive temps all the way to -90°F. Seeing spiders on snow and ice is not as uncommon as you’d think. Pityohyphantes can survive all winter without going into diapause(spider hibernation for overwintering).
