This. People seem to forget that Gohan, being weaker than he was against Cell, went toe to toe with Dabura and survived the spit. He survived the spit by removing a glove, cell would just remove his hand and regrow it, and likewise continue to dodge it going forward.  I think its more likely Cell would win. He could always pop out Cell jrs to help if he wanted to be really cheap. But in an honorable 1v1 I still think his regeneration, intelligence, and access to wide variety of techniques gives him the advantage.
