This happened during Trumps first term when he pressured the fed to keep interest rates low (even advocating for negative rates lmao) during a time where economists said failure to raise rates adequately would result in increased inflation. That coupled with Covid, and Trump/Biden stimulus, really drove up inflation in the US. Subsequently, the entire developed world experienced inflation, I suppose thats Bidens fault too, right? Biden allowed the Fed to do their job which brought us to a soft landing and reigned inflation under control, which absolutely did help the middle class and would not have happened under Trump. As we clearly see today, Trump is very interested in tariffs and lowering interest rates which will once again make everything much more expensive but comprehending that is beyond you.
