/u/Aroshia17 It has always been tough to get started in a profession right after college. These days it is worse and many 20 somethings live with their parents until they can get their lives launched. Having said that it is actually like that old saying “their house, their rules”. If you mother wants you to look for work while staying there, then look for work. You wrote that you have savings. Why not take a few months off and travel? Trips longer than 2 weeks will be much more difficult once you are committed to a job. It isn’t unheard of for college students to travel after graduation. People asking about the time gap between graduation and applying to a job on your resume will accept traveling after college as a reason.
