It could be that there are many angry Americans right now. Political posts give people a chance to vent their anger and are hence voted up. The other posts that get 10 or 20 votes could be a matter of those threads being the same old, same old. “Where should I move?”, “I miss my hometown”, “A mod removed my post!”, “I can’t get my life together” etc. I’ve been on Reddit and in RFG for a long time. I’ve noticed that people who complain about the politics on Reddit ( liberal ) are usually right wingers and having had a look at your submission history your post seems to be in line with that pattern. You just don’t like that the political posts because those posts don’t match your politics.
